Rest assured, our community members will be involved as we move forward.
On November 1st the Village of Sodus Point was notified it will receive a total of $8,822,000 in REDI grant funding. These grant funds will be disbursed upon securing a required 5% match.
As stated in the letter, the Department of Transportation will serve as the funding authority and oversight agent for its assigned projects and will hold a contract on behalf of the local project owner. For all other projects, the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York or the Environmental Facilities Corporation, as funding authorities, will help facilitate grant awards and reimbursement for projects that will be overseen by other State entities.
